Wedding Videography at Voewood North Norfolk

Hidden in the woods near the wild North Norfolk coast, there is an arts & crafts home with a rock & roll heart - Voewood. Located at Kelling, near Holt, Norfolk, England, it was designed by Edward Schroeder Prior and is a Grade II* listed building. This inspired house is an extremely popular wedding venue and was the backdrop and setting for this latest documentary. 

Pete Goodrum explores the recent rise in wedding videography through in depth interviews and research into this latest & emerging trend.

Benjamin from Race Wedding Videography is interviewed and talks about the changes in technology and its restrictions that had previously been imposed on the field of wedding films of yesteryear and how it has changed now in 2018. 

‘It has changed a lot over the years especially in technology and peoples perceptions of what a wedding video can be! Now back in the 1960's - 1990's as an example video technology was very restrictive & limiting in what it could do. You may have found a few enterprising individuals such as someone’s Uncle, would take the family 8mm camera and get landed the task of filming the family wedding. The 1980’s saw the introduction of the first consumer camcorders. The early days of professional wedding videography in the 1990’s were marked still by primitive technology and technique, the equipment produced poor quality images from VHS tapes with poor audio.

Skip forward to now and you have digital 4k cameras, stabilisation equipment for ultra-smooth shots, drones, high quality audio equipment and fantastic post editing equipment and software. So now it is more creative than just documentation!' Benjamin from Race Wedding Videography.
